As the Pastor of Assemblies of God Church, Youhanabad, I can confidently say that our Sunday School Ministry is not just a program. it is the heartbeat of our church. Since our founding in 1992, we have devoted ourselves to nurturing children in the Word of God, equipping them with faith, purpose, and love in a world that often offers the opposite.
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22:6
At Our Sunday School Ministry
Our Services
Our Sunday School serves children from diverse backgrounds, many of whom come from poverty-stricken homes, orphans, or marginalized families. In this sacred space, we teach them who they are in Christ, and more importantly, whose they are.
Teaching the Word with Passion & Purpose
Our committed Sunday School teachers are trained to teach the Bible in age-appropriate, engaging, and Spirit-led ways. Children learn Bible stories, memorize verses, worship songs, prayer, the life of Jesus, the fruits of the Spirit, and the foundations of Christian faith.
Through skits, storytelling, hands-on activities, and guided discussions, children not only understand the Bible — they learn to live it.
Every class is designed to foster spiritual growth, moral development, and godly character in each child.
Gifts that Reflect God’s Love
Each Sunday, we take joy in giving small gifts — from stationery, notebooks, books, and toys to hygiene kits — as an expression of God’s generosity and care. For many children, it’s the only gift they’ll receive that month or even that year. We want them to know: they are seen, loved, and cherished.
Feeding the Body, Nourishing the Soul
After every class, we serve a freshly prepared meal to each child, often their only full meal of the day. This act of love reflects Christ’s own ministry, where He not only preached but also fed the multitudes. We believe no child should learn about God on an empty stomach.
Scholarships & Education Sponsorship
Education is a powerful tool for freedom. Our church actively sponsors the school fees, uniforms, books, and tuition of children who are committed Sunday School students but whose families cannot afford formal education. We believe in breaking cycles of poverty and dependency through knowledge, opportunity, and faith.
Celebrations & Events
We host seasonal events and productions, including:
1. Christmas stage plays
2. Children’s Day performances
3. Palm Sunday parades
4. Birthday celebrations and quiz competitions
These events allow our children to express their faith creatively while building confidence and a sense of Christian identity.
Bible & Book Distribution
Evangelism Begins in Childhood
Many of our children go on to share the Gospel in their homes, schools, and neighbourhoods. Some even join our outreach teams that visit nearby villages to pray, sing, and testify to God’s love. Our Sunday School is training young missionaries who are already carrying the light of Christ into the darkest corners.

We don’t just teach — we walk alongside our children. We know their names, visit their homes, celebrate their victories, and pray through their struggles. Our teachers and volunteers love each child as their own, creating a family built not on blood, but on the Spirit.
